It is important to us that you are happy with our services and agree with our terms and conditions and privacy policies.

On this website we store and process information when you consent to us doing so or when the law allows us to do so.

This information includes:

  • Contact information such as names, telephone numbers, e-mail address, physical address.
  • Anonymous site analytics such as traffic data.

We store this information so that we are able to provide and effectively carry out the services we offer:

  • E-mail forms so that you can contact us directly for information regarding products we stock or retail spaces we offer to rent
  • Newsletter mailing lists so that we can provide you with updates about The Emporium and events we may be hosting or are partnered with.
  • Gain feedback on how effective our website is and act upon this feedback.

Authorised access

Authorised persons that can view data given submitted by an individual can be accessed by:

  • The manager of the website, e-mail messages are handled by the website and the manager of the website needs to make sure that the e-mails are being handled correctly and reach the intended recipient.
  • In shop manager and shopping assistants, as they need to be able to view any requests that are made.

3rd Parties

We do not share the information you give us with any 3rd party companies unless we are legally compelled to do so.

Legal obligations

In cooperation with governing bodies, law enforcement officials, or authorised private parties we may at our discretion or under legal obligation disclosed an individual’s information for the following reasons:

  • Public Safety
  • The protection our rights and property
  • The protection of a 3rd parties rights and property
  • To prevent non lawful or unethical behaviour

If any individual’s information is disclosed to another party for these reasons we will take steps to notify that individual of the disclosure and the legal reasoning for us to disclose this information.

Right to be informed

You have the right to be informed of how your data will be stored, processed and how long it will be kept for. Please read through the policies above this section for information concerning what data it is we store about you, why we store and process that information and how long this information is stored for.

Right to access

You have the right to be able to access the information stored specifically about you, what processes we use that information for and supplementary information such as a privacy notice (This privacy page for example). If you would like to understand which data we store about you please get in contact and we aim to provide you with your stored information as soon as is possible.

Right to rectification

You have the right to be able to change or correct any information stored about you. If you believe your information to be false, or you would like to change your information to be correct you may do so at any time and we are obliged to amend this for you.

Right to erasure

You have the right to have your data permanently removed from our systems on request. Should you want to remove any information we may store about you please get in touch as soon as possible and we will remove this data. We may also erase your data if it is no longer necessary for us to store it or we cease the process that the data was initially collected for. Your data will be erased from processes in conjunction with your right to object.

​Right to restrict processing

You have the right to restrict processing of your data. If you are subscribed to our newsletter for example you can opt out via e-mail or get in touch and ask us to remove you from our mailing list. This does not mean that when you restrict our processing of data that we will erase your data, though you do still have the right to make a request of erasure.

You have the right to have your data be portable, this means that If you wanted re-use the data we may have stored about you we are obliged to present this information to you in a machine readable and commonly used format.

Right to object

You have the right to object to your data being processed in any manner. For example if we were to use your e-mail for marketing purposes you could object to this marketing and we are obliged to cease marketing to you.

Right related to automated decision making including profiling

You have the right to not be subject to automated decision making and profiling. Currently we do not conduct any automated decision making and profiling based on the information you may have given us.

We understand that any request to exercise any of these rights, be it on social media or in person verbally will be recorded, responded to and acted upon within the 1 month.
